The buildings and other terrain shown in the game are based on WWII aerial reconnaissance and pictures. So what makes BIA:EIB interesting? The designers made a concerted effort to recreate actual WWII combat movements of the 101st Airborne starting with their parachute drop in Normandy.

I have also heard on UBIsoft forum that BIA:EIB will work on Windows 7 if bought through Steam (Steam is its own authentication and does not require Starforce). It will play on Windows Vista (my system: Intel Core 2 Quad, 8GB RAM, 1GB Nvidia Video Card), but it takes some effort to make it happen (see my comment with instructions if interested). However, note that BIA:EIB does not play on Windows 7 or 8 due to Starforce security software. Since both games are extremely cheap, I would still encourage you to get both if you don't mind spending a couple of extra bucks. Brothers In Arms: Earned in Blood (BIA:EIB) has some neat features, but as a whole it just is not as good of a game. I tend to compare this game with Call of Duty 2 (COD2) as they came out about the same time.
